Scottish Government Funding

Wellbeing Fund

The Wellbeing Fund aims to support organisations across the third sector that are providing important services to people who are most affected by the coronavirus pandemic

Total Funding Allocated to date: £515 900

Supporting Communities Fund

This fund provides funding to community anchor organisations, such as charities, voluntary organisations, community controlled housing associations and social enterprises to help support local responses to the pandemic.

Total Funding Allocated to date: £400 000

Food Fund

The Food Fund helps to address food insecurity caused by the pandemic. This includes for individuals such as those who are: shielding; who have been advised to undertake particularly stringent physical distancing, such as older people and pregnant women; unable to access food and/or; unable to afford food.

Third sector resilience fund

This is an emergency fund for charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations working in Scotland. The fund supports organisations that already deliver services and products but find themselves in financial difficulties directly as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Scottish Welfare Fund

The Scottish Welfare Fund helps families and people in Scotland who are on low incomes through Crisis Grants and Community Care Grants.

Total Funding Allocated to date: £1 700 000

Hardship Fund

Local authorities can use this resource as they see fit to respond flexibly to the Coronavirus crisis to help people and communities.

Other Funders

Foundation Scotland/National Emergencies Trust – Response, Recovery & Resilience Fund

The fund was launched in partnership National Emergencies Trust on 27th March to help small charities and constituted groups across Scotland meet the immediate needs of their communities impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The National Lottery Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund have funded Covid-19 activity through their current funding programmes.

BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need have set up a number of Covid-19 funding opportunities to support families, children and young people.
