Site Co-Ordinator

 

We are currently looking for a site co-ordinator. The post will be funded by the National Lottery, BigLottery Fund for 3 years.
This position has been created to enhance our allotments site.
We were granted funding in 2015 under the Vacant and Derelict Land Act. We created the site at Bairds Avenue, opening our gates for our first growing season in May 2016. We now have funding to create further plots and to develop a wild meadow area. We are installing toilets, a portacabin with a kitchen and office area. This changes the dynamics of what was an allotment into a community garden also.

The position will involve, and may evolve, so you will need to be flexible.

General site management (no hard maintenance)
Toilet/Kitchen area/Office general duties to ensure all is kept to a good standard
Community Shed: Create a seed exchange library, general management
Record Keeping
Maintenance schedule
Liase with schools, groups etc
General admin
Polytunnel management including preparation of seeds and plants which will eventually be sold to
the public
What we need you to be:
Flexible (it’s a new position)
Have some Horticultural knowledge
Hours of work are 16 hours per week with a salary of £10 PH
