Gordon Watson joined the team at Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire through the Kickstart programme in April 2021 in the role of digital assistant, after experiencing real challenges in securing employment after leaving university.
 
Gordon explains, "Completing my degree and entering a job market that was damaged by the pandemic stunted my confidence to a point I struggled to see my full potential.”
 
After excelling in his new role, he successfully applied to join the Community Solutions team and within a few months had been appointed to a senior role within the organisation.
