Lanarkshire Residents Can Still Get Their Spring Booster If Eligible

The spring booster programme offers a second booster vaccination to eligible groups following advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).  In particular, we are urging over 75s who have not yet come forward to get their spring booster before the end of June.

The second booster is to help protect those most vulnerable against any increase on coronavirus infections and anyone who has not yet attended for their spring booster can still access their vaccine at one of our vaccination centres across Lanarkshire.

Lynsey Sutherland, Interim General Manager for Lanarkshire’s Vaccination Programme, said:  “We are appealing to anyone aged over 75 or anyone aged 12 and over who has a weakened immune system who have not yet got their spring booster to either book an appointment or attend one of our drop in clinics.

“Getting the spring booster will offer longer lasting protection against severe Covid-19 illness to those who are more vulnerable.

“I would like to thank have the residents of Lanarkshire for their continued support in making the roll-out of the vaccination programme, including the spring booster programme, a success.”

You can book your spring booster appointment through NHS Inform either on the helpline 0800 030 8031 or you can visit one of our drop in clinics. You can find details on our drop in clinics at
