North Lanarkshire Women’s Aid Ltd (NLWA) is a voluntary organisation based in Cumbernauld providing a confidential service offering valuable information, support and temporary accommodation to women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse in the Cumbernauld Kilsyth, Stepps, Moodiesburn, Chryston, Mount Ellen and Gartcosh areas.
NLWA also campaigns to raise awareness of this issue and supports other domestic and sexual violence services throughout the area. Referrals mainly come from Social Work, educational professionals and Housing in addition to self referrals.
NLWA are now seeking to recruit for up to 2 committed women with a strong background in one or more of the following areas:
• being a Charity Trustee, Education, Finance, Health, Housing
to join the 4 members currently on our Board guiding the strategic and operational direction of the organisation.
