VANL offers support, advice, training and guidance to its membership to help increase the take-up of external funding by third sector organisations in North Lanarkshire.

The aim is to provide comprehensive support to VANL members, identifying funding sources and developing business cases to acquire funding for projects.

VANL's development officer also works closely with funding providers to maximise the effective take-up of external funds, monitoring outputs and providing support to groups to assist with monitoring processes. The dissemination of any changes to current funders’ guidelines and information about new funders is distributed to our membership as soon as possible.

The service has developed different levels of funding support, based on small grants funding, trusts and foundations as well as service level agreements. Bespoke training is also offered to organisations as and when required.
