VANL is a partner within the Lanarkshire Social Economy Partnership which is responsible for driving the social economy in Lanarkshire. The partners provide a strategic and operational function ensuring advice and support services for new and existing Social Enterprises in North Lanarkshire. Other partners include North Lanarkshire Council, Lanarkshire Enterprise Services Ltd (Business Gateway), Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Council.
Through the North Lanarkshire Social Enterprise Framework, the partners seek to increase the development and growth of the sector locally in terms of jobs and turnover during the period 2013 – 2018. The Lanarkshire Social Economy Steering Group was established to provide the structure for a co-ordinated inter agency response to social economy development across Lanarkshire.
