People are increasingly volunteering on green issues to improve and protect the natural environment for future generations and support climate action.
Green volunteering can increase our connection to nature and the seasons, improve our mood, reduce feelings of stress and help us to feel more relaxed. Green volunteering opportunities include:
Conservation – such as tree-planting, protection of native plants and animals
Community gardens including food growing
Supporting community learning on on green and climate issues
Guided walks in nature
Providing energy advice
Refurbishing products for reuse such as furniture, tools and more
There are lots of Green Volunteering opportunities across North Lanarkshire, for more information about green volunteering or for help in finding a green volunteering role near you, please contact info@VANL.co.uk or call 01236 748011
